What is CPR?
CPR, or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, is a lifesaving technique used to restore breathing and blood flow when a person's heart stops beating.
Who should take a CPR course?
Anyone who wants to learn how to save a life, including healthcare professionals, parents, teachers, and members of the general public.
How often should I renew my CPR certification?
CPR certifications typically expire every two years.
Do you offer online CPR courses?
I have many options I can tailor to your needs.
How long does it take to get my Certification Card?
Your card will be emailed after completing the course and payment. Once approved, I'll submit your recommendation and fee to the certifying agency. They'll then email your digital certificate.
You can also request a physical copy which takes extra time and has an extra cost. I recommend saving time and money and consider printing your own on cardstock and laminating it. What is the difference between CPR and First Aid? While CPR focuses on reviving the heart and lungs, First Aid covers a broader range of emergency medical procedures, such as treating bleeding, burns, allergic reactions, and broken bones. What in an AED? An AED is an automated external defibrillator, a medical device that can help people who are experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. AEDs are portable and designed to be user-friendly, with clear instructions for use in an emergency. COURSE SPECIFIC QUESTIONS What will I learn in the CPR course? The goal of the HSI Adult First Aid | CPR AED training program is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in adult first aid and/or CPR AED for adult, child, and infant.This program includes flexible instructional tools for developing proficiency via demonstration and prompted practice, including scenario-based problem-solving exercises with feedback.HSI First Aid | CPR AED reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update. I am flexible and can customize the schedule to suit your needs, ensuring convenience and timeliness. Do you need any prior experience to take the CPR classes? No, our course is designed for beginners. Is there a certification exam? No, not unless you want one for your organization or workplace. I go over the steps for CPR with you throughout the course to make sure you understand and feel comfortable with what you are learning. Has anyone ever failed the class and not been able to be certified? I have never failed anyone in any of my classes. I work hard to make learning understandable and easy for everyone to understand and implement. If you are willing to learn, I will make sure you meet the requirements to certify. I have taught people of all ages in many subjects for a number of years and I understand that there are so many different learning styles and abilities. I will teach in a style that best suits you. Please note: If you have any specific physical or learning challenges please let me know! All information will remain confidential and nobody will ever feel singled out or embarrassed in any class I teach! I have a special needs daughter who requires many adaptations for her learning, and I am sensitive to these unique situations! REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT QUESTIONS How do I register for a CPR course? Fill out and submit online form and I will schedule with you. You can also call or text 208-520-6276 for appointment times. What are the payment options? Credit or debit, Cash, ACH, Apple Pay®, PayPal, or Venmo LOCATION AND SCHEDULING QUESTIONS Where are your CPR courses held? I can come to you, do video and online training, or do in office staff training. We can make most situations work for your convenience. Can I schedule a private CPR course for my group? Of Course!! I prefer to limit my groups to a maximum of 12 people for more effective teaching. I will split up groups of more than 12 students into 2 separate classes. I give a 10% discount for groups o 6 or more students also! ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS Do you offer discounts for group rates? Yes, I give a 10% discount to groups of 6 or more. Can I bring a guest to observe the CPR course? If you prefer to bring someone along, that's absolutely fine! However, they won’t have the chance to practice with the equipment or receive personal training. Every question is valid and important! Don't hesitate to ask anything at all.
